African Skies Travel Connection LLC bring you the Amplify Africa Travel Program and the Amplify Africa Women’s summit.
Danell Wilson-Perlman is the founder of AST — she brings women entrepreneurs from North America to the continent of Africa, starting with South Africa, with the vision to bring it to many other African countries. The first trip took place last year. We meet with fellow women entrepreneurs in South Africa (this year we have women as far as Zimbabwe who want to travel to SA to be part of this) who want to empower, educate, exchange and collaborate with each other, it’s Mentorship on a whole different level.
With this program, you are not a tourist, you are a woman who loves to travel but who wants to share her passion and life lessons with like minded women while seeing and experiencing a very rich culture, the World in One Country. We hosted our first Amplify Africa Summit last April outside of Arniston. This year’s event will take place from October 5th through the 7th in the town of Stellenbosch.
Danell was born and raised in the beautiful Overberg town of Bredasdorp in South Africa, studied tourism and Travel management and moved to the USA full time in 1997. She owns Reno Tahoe Limousine and Reno Tahoe Transportation with her husband Ron Perlman in Reno, NV. They grew their company from 6 to 30 vehicles in the past 10 years, became transportation lobbyists to try to change the very strict transportation laws in the state of Nevada, so Danell has a few stories to share about perseverance and not taking “no” for an answer. In her free time she is also the Travel writer for Bliss Babe Magazine.
Now it’s time for Danell to give back to her country’s fellow women entrepreneurs in helping them built their network, offer mentorship and see how more women can collaborate with each other plus bring women entrepreneurs from her now resident country of the USA to experience the world in one country in so many more ways than just being a tourist.
Danell serves on the board of Zawadisha (a non-profit supplying women with micro loans in villages in Kenya) as well as being on the advisory board for the Tahoe Wedding Industry Group. She is also serving on the board of Nevada SBDC (Small Business Development for the state of Nevada).
