Sindi Mabaso-Koyana CA (SA)

  • Sindi is currently the Chair of AWCA Investment Holdings.
  • She is a Chartered Accountant by profession with advanced experience gained from Public and private sector industries;
  • Her illustrious career includes being Managing Director of Viamax Logistics (a subsidiary of the Transnet Group) Group CFO of Transnet, Executive Partner at Ernst & Young responsible for Quality & Risk Management.
  • She has served on a number of boards including Transnet, SAA, South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, MTN, SANRAL and Armscor which she also had to chair temporarily. Her current board positions include Adcorp, Altron Group, MTN Zakhele and Toyota SA.
  • She is the Founder Member and Former President of African Women Chartered Accountants Forum, a professional organisation that empowers aspiring and qualified Black women Chartered Accountants.
  • In addition to Finance, Sindi has a special interest in Governance, Strategy and Business Process Improvement , Talent Management and Risk Management.
  • Sindi is a renowned leader and champion in growth and development of young women.
  • Sindi has been named one of the Top 20 Most Powerful Women in South Africa by the Financial Mail and was a Finalist for the Business Woman Award of South Africa in 2004.
  • Sindi was in 2013 nominated by The CEO Magazine’s Most Influential Women in Business and Public Sector.
  • She is the Chairperson of the Task team of The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants where she has just launched the paper on Meaningful Reporting on Broad based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE).
  • Included in her illustrious career is the recent appointment by FIFA in Zurich as the Deputy Chairperson of The Audit & Compliance Committee as part of the Governance Reform process.
  • Sindi is a of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, an international leadership programme that encourages leaders to DO GOOD in society. As part of this she has spearheaded a Youth Programme in Art which was powered by Advanced Capital as the Group’s Enterprise Development programme.
  • Her passion to develop has led her to actively drive the Social Plans & Programmes in the Advanced Capital Group.
  • Sindi continues her Social Contribution in the Accounting profession as the Advisory Chair of African Women Chartered Accountants.
