Mark your Calendars! The weekend of October 5th–7th
Here is the outline for the weekend so far. Friday’s event will be taking place at the HB Thom Theatre in Stellenbosch (see map at bottom of page).
The theme of the Women’s Summit:
Facing Your Fears and Pushing Your Boundaries — A Gathering of Women for Change

Friday, October 5th
8:00 am – 9:00 am — Registration
9:00 am – 9: 15 am — Welcome by Danell Wilson-Perlman
9:15 am – 10:15 am — Women Entrepreneurs Panel by Team Amplify Africa from Reno, Nevada (Danell, Meg, Meghan and Sharon). We will discuss our struggles and victories and how we keep the momentum going on pushing boundaries and facing our fears. How do we change the dialogue for the next generation?
10:15 am – 10:30 am — Tea/Coffee break
10:30 am – 10:45 am — TOP (Trails on Purpose) and invite to park run on Saturday by Meg Shea
11:00 am – 12 pm — Semakaleng Mothapo — Behind the dress and make up
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm — Lunch
1:15 pm – 2:15 pm — Ilze Alberts — Unbreaking the cycle in passing the torch
2:15 pm – 2:30 pm — Break
2:30 pm – 3:00 pm — Kirsten Bunch an American Speaker via Skype from the East. Kirsten coaches and mentors women entrepreneurs and executives who want to give back by forming a nonprofit, a foundation or a social enterprise.
3:00 pm – 4:00 pm — Amy Kleinhans-Curd — You can control the depth of your life
4:00 pm – 5:00 pm — Fashion Experience/post event Networking Cocktail Reception
Rate per person for the October 5th day event is
R1150 per person.
Last day to register will be October 2nd.
The registration fee includes coffee/tea, lunch and the post networking event.
7:00 pm – 10:00 pm — Power/Pamper/Pajama Party
Time to relax and hang out with new and old friends! Adel Dreyer will be hosting a Vision Board workshop, we will learn to make African jewelry from one of the ladies of the Kidz Positive Organization and get pampered by the Amy Foundation’s beauty students.

R550 per person.
The fee covers all activities including the option of a hand and foot massage. This also includes a Buffet style dinner and one drink per person.
Saturday, October 6th
All optional events and activities
8:00 am – 9:00 am — Option to take part in the Stellenbosch Park Run – 5km run or walk
9:30 am – 10:30 am — Meghan Ochs (Team USA) will be teaching a WOD (Workout of the Day) and give a talk.
10:45 am – 12:00 pm — Sharon DeMattia of The AIM Project will be teaching her art class.
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm — Lunch
1:15 pm – 2:00 pm — Meg Shea will be discussing TOP (Trails on Purpose)
2:15 pm – 3:15 pm — Sharon DeMattia of The AIM Project, wrap up the morning event (if participants need more time to finish their canvases) does an art exhibit of some of her previous students’ work but also of the work which took place earlier in the day — where people can come up and explain their artwork. It’s a very freeing experience.

Women Winemakers Event
7:15 pm – 9:00 pm — A Discussion with Women Winemakers & Weekend Wrap Up Event Happening at Hidden Valley Winery. Bubbly, Charcuterie platters, wine and chocolate … now that’s the way to spend a Saturday evening!

6:00 pm — Welcome
6:15 pm – 7:00 pm — Sindi Mabaso-Koyana — Beyond my Dreams
15 min break — time to grab more wine and some food!
7:15 pm – 8:15 pm — Women Winemaker’s Panel MC’d by Meghan Ochs of Team Amplify Africa USA
8:15 pm – 8:45 pm — Adel Dreyer will finish this powerful weekend with some pearls of wisdom.
Danell will close the event with 15 minutes of Open Mic sharing and the vision and mission of the Amplify Africa program until next year.
